Women in trades
I first set foot in my high school shop at 15 years old.
I wasn’t a typical academic student and even though I was the only girl in most of the shop classes, I felt like it was where I was meant to be.
My welding and fabricating career has spanned years, job sites and countries.
I know the unique challenges and rewards of being both a working mom, a woman in trades and a business owner.
From meeting with local girl’s guides to meeting with high school shop classes, I am passionate about encouraging girls and young women to explore trades as a career, hobby and life skill
